He steals shiny things as gifts For her At first she is very happy / But the more he gives, the more she wants She always stares at the moon / He always knows she wants it The higher he flies, the colder he gets / The cold attacks his gentle feathers His powerful claws / And his ugly face He tires his best to fight with the cold / But he fails He gets frozen like a crystal, shiny glory and pretty Its his last gift for her

The Gift is inspired by the Ancient Greek myth of Icarus. Icarus flies to the sun for his curiosity, while also for his desire. In the Gift, the craw flies to the moon for his lover’s desire. The story is also composed with the support of Chenmiao Shi.
